Technical Session Highlights:

Michael Joyce will cover an overview of Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV) systems.  He will also cover best practices and applications of the technology. 

Main Presentation Highlights:

R410A will be phased out for VRV systems on January 1st, 2026.  This topic will cover the anticipated refrigerant used after R410A as well as the updated ASHRAE 15 guidelines and best practices used.

Daikin Comfort Technologies - Applications Specialist

Michael Joyce is a Regional Applications Specialist for Daikin Comfort Technologies and handles the north and central regions. Michael has been working in the HVAC industry for the past 17 years. He spent time in field as a unitary service/install technician and moved on to sales and technical support before taking a position in applications. Michael has been with Daikin for 8 years and focuses on VRF application, installation and design. He also is utilized as a technical trainer for VRF, Mini/Multi-splits, unitary and light commercial training. He holds a Certified HVAC Technician certificate and an EPA Universal certification among others as a graduate of Environmental Technical Institute in the 2006.
